Director of Photography Pepijn Robben is a seasoned filmmaker. He graduated from Rits, the Filmschool of Brussels, Belgium, in 2009. Pepijn’s first experience with documentary was as an production assistent for the short documentary ‘Untertage’ in 2003. A film that shows one day of the lives of two miners as they go to their working places deep underground. ‘Untertage’ triggered Pepijn’s love for the genre. After that he continued working as an cameraman or director of photography for several international documentary and fiction productions. With the short ‘Striped’ he won the Best European film award at Tous Ecran in Geneva (director of photography) and for the short ‘Zerzura’ he won the cinematography award at Ciné Public Festival in Gent, Belgium.
